Privacy policy
Dice Cup Cafe Ltd understands that your privacy is important to you. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits our website and will only collect and use information in ways that are useful to you and in a manner consistent with your rights and our obligations under the law.
1. Who we are. This website is owned and operated by Dice Cup Cafe Ltd, a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16976325. Our registered office is at 68-70 Mansfield Road, Nottingham NG1 3GY. This policy applies to your use of www.dicecupcafe.co.uk (including visits that arrive via our former shop address, www.dicecuponline.co.uk, which redirects here). It does not extend to other websites we link to; please check their own privacy policies before providing any data to them.
2. What data we collect. Some data is collected automatically when you browse; other data you provide voluntarily when placing an order, creating an account, signing up to our newsletter, or contacting us. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect: your name; contact details such as email address and phone number; billing and delivery address; order history; IP address, browser type and version, and operating system (collected automatically); and referral and browsing activity on our site (collected automatically).
3. How we use your data. We process your data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, in order to: take, fulfil and deliver your orders; provide and manage your account; respond to your messages; send service emails about your orders; and, only with your permission, send marketing emails with news and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email. We will never send you unsolicited marketing or spam, and we do not sell your data.
4. Payments. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.
5. Where your data is stored. Our website runs on the Shopify platform, which stores data on our behalf. Some data may be stored or transferred outside the UK and the European Economic Area; where that happens, safeguards required by UK law (such as approved contractual clauses) are in place so your data receives equivalent protection. We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
6. Who we share data with. We share data with third parties only where needed to serve you: delivery companies (to ship your order), payment processors (to take payment), and the Shopify platform (to run the store). These parties may not use your data for anything else. We may compile anonymised, aggregate statistics about site use; these never identify you. We may also disclose data where the law requires it (for example a court order).
7. Cookies. This site uses cookies for website functionality: they help your navigation and keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. You can block cookies in your browser's privacy settings, but if you do, you will not be able to place orders.
8. Your rights. You have the right to: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (free of charge); have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to our processing of it; and receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@dicecupcafe.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time, or as the law requires. Any changes will be posted on this page.
